The Big Picture

For this research project you will be assigned an insurance coverage and plan, and will research the coverage information for that particular plan.  You will then apply your knowledge of health insurance coverage to devise a scenario where Jake’s medical treatment in the “In an Instant” scenarios would not be covered fully by health insurance resulting in large medical bills.

After completing this assignment you will be able to:

  • Describe the role of health insurance in funding medical services
  • Identify the different types of health insurance plans available to customers
  • Discuss how health insurance influences the avioalability of medical services

    Steps in the Research Process - AGOPPE

    • Ask Questions: 
      • Identify your research problem or question
      • Read a bit about the topic or issue
      • Analyze the problem and develop or refine questions

      • Revise your first draft (use peer reviewers or a teacher to help you)
      • Revise again if necessary
      • Prepare your final product
      • Present the product to your audience
